Welcome to LePlavy Library

An introduction to how the space works

Every writer's work deserves a home. This one is mine.

Welcome to LePlavy Library. The creative archive of writer Owen LePlavy. This website was built around the idea of documenting creativity while preserving progress. Why let ideas, untold stories, and completed drafts sit forgotten in a notebook or on a desktop somewhere? Instead, why not give them a home in a digital journal for anyone to explore, which will over time grow into a collection of ongoing series and finished works.

At the center of the library I'll be launching DOSSIER 12, my flagship ongoing web series. It can be quickly described as a serialized spycraft thriller set in the immediate aftermath of World War II. It is designed to function less like a traditional novel and more like an episode of golden age television. Each entry works as a standalone mission, intended to be read in a single sitting, with added layers for those who follow the series in order.

Alongside it is Digital Dimes, a collection of standalone short stories. This is where I'll explore smaller ideas, experiment, and write one-off narratives. Every release will be numbered and subtitled, but grouped under the Digital Dimes umbrella for simplicity.

Outside of fiction, this library will also feature film analysis. I envision exploring retrospective cinema through a modern lens. Posts will focus on revisiting different directors, highlighting films I feel have been lost to time, and tracing the evolution of genres through the films that came before them. From time to time, I'll also share my thoughts on contemporary filmmaking when something piques my interest.

All work published within LePlavy Library will be free to read. In addition, the website will serve as a launch point for books and other longer-form written projects published outside of it.

Here's to reading.
